Why I work for Omega: I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and managing money. At an early age, I remember developing budgets for myself, tracking my spending as best I could to make sure I saved enough for something I really wanted to buy. That knack for tracking finances blossomed into a degree in financial planning from Virginia Tech. During my time there, I was able to hone in on those analytical skills and apply them to real-world cases, as well as increase my competence in client communication. At Omega, I’m able to expand on those previous experiences through daily client interactions and money movement, and simultaneously learn new things along the way.
What I do here at Omega: At Omega I am an Operations Associate, which means I am responsible for the day-to-day operations that helps the firm run successfully. This includes: client communication, moving money (distributions, contributions, and transfers), trading, keeping track of client accounts and important documents, and helping prepare appointment meeting materials for the advisory team before client meetings.
My educational background/experience: I graduated from Virginia Tech in December of 2014 with a B.S. degree in finance under the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) Certification Education Track. I have previously interned with Monument Wealth Management, where I was able to gain a great deal of experience in the planning industry. There, I helped build complex private wealth allocations for clients using Excel, assisted numerous clients with retitling private equity assets regarding their trusts, and put together financial plans together for clients using PowerPoint and eMoney planning software.

I also spend a lot of my free time researching and discovering new artists and underground music, and try to attend as many shows as I can in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
