Managing Partner, Director of InvestmentsSenior AdvisorJared Jones, CFP®, CeFT®, CIMA®, RLP®
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in the Certified Financial Planning® track in May 2015.
I was awarded the CFP® designation in May 2017. In October 2018, I completed the necessary requirements to become a Certified Financial Transitionist®. This body of knowledge has led to an interest in working with clients who experience early sudden wealth.
Most recently, after completing graduate-level course work through Yale School of Management’s executive education program and passing a rigorous exam, I earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation in August 2019. The CIMA® designation represents an in-depth knowledge of investment management, portfolio construction, and a commitment to maintaining a fiduciary standard.
On a Lighter Note:
Why I work for Omega? Since the 10th grade, when I took my first personal finance class, I knew I wanted to be a financial planner. At Omega I’m able to practice my passion every day. With our hands-on approach to Financial Life Planning, I have a unique opportunity to get to know our clients’ dreams and goals. With this information I’m a part of developing a Financial Life Plan that helps them achieve these dreams and goals. I find great satisfaction in helping others and enjoy watching them achieve their goals.
What I do here at Omega: As a Lead Advisor, it’s my job to be an initial point of contact for our clients, helping answer any concerns or questions. I’ve also developed a unique program geared specifically towards working with the next generation of our client base, and young professionals called SmartStart™.

Personal Interests & Passions: In my spare time, I enjoy reading (mostly non-fiction) and attending Virginia Tech football games. I come from a long line of Hokies and my first game was when I was 4 months old (we won that day)!
Fun Fact: When I was 16 my family moved to Hawaii for a little over a year. I was able to spend my Junior year of high school on Oahu – a memory I’ll never forget!
